Designed in California this loose-leaf vaporizer has clearly been inspired by the Crafty from Storz & Bickel, with a very similar design and features. Because of the combination of conduction and convection, it promises a high-quality vaping experience. Manufactured by Vivant, the vape scores with a number of innovative solutions. Its style is strongly inspired by the Crafty Vaporizer from Storz & Bickel.
Hybrid Convection/ Conduction Heating System
The Vivant Alternate uses an innovative hybrid heating system, powered by a strong heating element. As a matter of fact, this method which was coined by the Storz & Bickel team combines the best features of conduction and convection technology. In other words the Alternate is able to reach the desired temperature quickly, but without burning or charring the herb. This combination of heating methods also makes for an excellent option for entertaining, capable for group sessions as well as solo use.
Adjustable Airflow
One innovative feature is that you can control the airflow yourself! Therefore, the user decides on the amount of airflow produced, which for many can be a point of contention. This solution is incredibly unique – hence the parameters of the vapour can be matched with your preferences. The air volume regulator on the front shines in a beautiful green.
Replaceable battery
You can replace the Alternate’s battery; which enables you to purchase an additional battery, which we would recommend. One charge lasts for approx 45 minutes of continuous vaping. The Alternate can be conveniently charged with any micro USB cell phone charger or even with a power bank.
Full Temperature Control
The Vivant Alternate allows precise temperature control, ranging between 70°C -220°C. The heat time is approx 90 seconds and the device features a standby mode to protect the battery. However, this function is activated as soon as the user stops inhaling for one minute; this can be adjusted.
Modular Herb Grinder
Vivant have included a herb grinder which is specifically designed for use with the Vivant Alternate, the grinder can be attached to the vape allowing you to fill the chamber with material whilst you grind it. The 4 pieces Acrylic grinder is lightweight allowing easy transport and features a magnetic hold and storage compartment.
