Introduction
The Arizer Air Max is Arizer’s mid-sized portable vape — sitting between the smaller Arizer ArGo and the larger Solo 3. Known for their glass vapour paths and rich flavour, Arizer vapes have a cult following, and the Air Max refines the formula with USB-C charging, a 26650 swappable battery, and improved airflow.
I’m Danny Foggs, your British dry herb enthusiast and outdoor trekker. I’ve carried the Air Max on city walks, coastal hikes, and long chill sessions — here’s my full UK review of the Arizer Air Max in 2025.
What’s Included
- Arizer Air Max vaporizer
- 26650 high-capacity battery (removable)
- Glass aroma tubes (standard & frosted)
- PVC stem caps & carry tubes
- USB-C charging cable & wall adapter
- Stirring tool + spare screens
- User manual
👉 As always with Arizer, the glass stems and stem caps are the stars of the show — making loading, carrying, and cleaning straightforward.
Build Quality, Design & Available Colours
The Air Max has a tall cylindrical body, a tough anodised aluminium shell, and a bright OLED display with intuitive controls. It’s slimmer than the Solo 3, making it more portable but still substantial in hand.
🔹 Available Colours (UK): Carbon Black (the standard release).
Real-world note: the Air Max is understated and functional, built more for performance than style. The slim design slips into bags easily, but those glass stems still need protecting.
Portability and Concealment
At 160 g, the Air Max is noticeably lighter than the Solo 3. It fits jacket pockets easily, and with capped stems, it travels fairly well. Still, this isn’t a “jeans pocket stealth” vape.
It’s a nice middle-ground: more portable than the Solo, less discreet than the Crafty+.
Heating and Temperature Options
- Hybrid heating with convection emphasis
- Heat-up time: ~60–90 seconds (slower than Solo 3 V2.0, but steady)
- Temp range: 50–220°C, with 1° increments
- Adjustable session timer (10–20 minutes)
It’s not the fastest heating vape, but once warmed up it delivers consistent performance.
Chamber Info and Loading Tips
- Chamber size: ~0.15–0.25 g depending on stem
- Glass stem loading system (herb goes in the stem, not the oven)
💡 Danny’s tip: preload stems in capped travel tubes for ultimate convenience outdoors. It’s a game-changer for the Air Max.
Vapour Quality and Performance
As expected with Arizer, flavour is clean, cool, and terp-forward. The all-glass pathway really makes a difference, and vapour stays smooth even at higher temps.
Cloud production is good but not massive — this is a flavour-first device. Long, slow draws reward you with satisfying vapour, while short puffs don’t hit quite as hard.
Battery Info and Charging
- Battery life: ~2.5–3 hours continuous use
- Swappable 26650 battery — a huge advantage over sealed units
- Charging: USB-C with pass-through
- Full charge: around 2 hours
Battery life is excellent, and having a removable cell means you can carry spares for camping or festivals.
Apps & Smart Features
No mobile app here, but the onboard screen gives you full control. Features include:
- Adjustable screen brightness
- Session timer (10–20 mins)
- Dark mode for night use
Simple, effective, and user-friendly.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The glass stem system makes cleaning easy: just soak stems in ISO, rinse, and dry. The oven area rarely needs more than a quick wipe.
Everyday gripe: like all Arizer vapes, the stems need frequent cleaning to maintain airflow, and yes — they’re fragile.
Comparisons
- Arizer Solo 3 V2.0 – bigger, heavier, faster heat-up, but less portable.
- Mighty+ – chunkier, less flavour-pure, but more powerful clouds and rugged design.
- Crafty+ – more pocketable, but weaker battery and smaller chamber.
- Tinymight 2 – hits harder, faster heat-up, but less beginner-friendly.
Verdict: the Air Max is a brilliant balance of flavour, battery, and portability, sitting neatly between ultra-portables and larger session vapes.
Conclusion
The Arizer Air Max is a true “daily driver” vape — balancing excellent flavour, strong battery life, and decent portability. It’s not stealthy and doesn’t deliver the absolute hardest hits, but it’s reliable, consistent, and simple to use.
👉 Best for: flavour purists, festival and camping users, anyone who values swappable batteries.
👉 Not for: stealth city use, or people prone to dropping glass stems.

💨 Danny Foggs’ Verdict
The Arizer Air Max is the sweet spot in the Arizer lineup: portable enough to carry, powerful enough for long sessions, and flavourful enough to satisfy terp lovers. Not flashy, not stealthy, but rock-solid and dependable — especially with that swappable battery.
